Polaroids

Like Sunlight Coming Through the Clouds was the title of the first exhibition that featured a wide selection from Robby Müller’s extensive archive of Polaroid photographs from the early 1970s to the late 1990s. The exhibition highlighted Müller’s ability to make iconic images that reflect not only his unique view of the world, but also his talent for creating something new and radiant. The same poetic sensibility is depicted in these captured silent moments as in his film images, which earned him the nickname “Master of Light”.

The exhibition, first on view in 2019 in Arles and then at various other places, was curated by Andrea Müller-Schirmer and supported by Annet Gelink Gallery.

Amsterdam Photos

What did Amsterdam look like through the eyes of Robby Müller? Capturing striking images was something he also did in Amsterdam, the city where he studied and where he lived from 1992 on. The book launch of Amsterdam Photos was accompanied by an exhibition of a selection of photographs from the book that were first released and on view at Annet Gelink gallery.
